One fan of Nintendo and Game Freak’s Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was beyond excited when they finally caught a Shiny Klawf using the similarly colored Lure Ball, proudly showing off pictures of their catch online. The cuddly crustacean is one of several new Pokemon that made their debut in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with a unique color scheme for its Shiny variation that perfectly matches Klawf’s watery home.

The first truly open-world games in Pokemon history, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been a hit with many players and critics despite the presence of numerous bugs and occasionally poor performance. Like other recent games in the series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature several Shiny Pokemon variants for players to add to their collection in addition to the standard creatures. These rare Shiny variants, which can either be caught or hatched from eggs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, feature unique designs that lets them stand out from their base model and serve as a colorful addition to any player’s Pokedex.

In a new post on the r/PokemonScarletViolet subreddit, user Intelligent-Pen6144 proudly showed off a picture of the Shiny Klawf they caught using Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s lure ball. The Shiny variant of the crustacean-themed Rock Type Pokemon features a baby blue body with red circles on either side of its face, which matches perfectly with the similarly red and blue Lure Ball shown below it in the Pokedex. One of several different Pokeballs for players to choose from in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Lure Ball is particularly effective when trying to catch Pokemon via fishing.

Fans of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet responding to the post were amused by the adorable Pokemon and its matching Pokeball. Wondering if Intelligent-Pen6144 would continue the aquatic theme when evolving their new Pokemon, one user inquired if they would give the Klawf a water Tera Type to match the Lure Ball. Another user remarked on the startled look of the ocean-colored Klawf in the screenshot, joking that “she looks embarrassed to have her photo taken.”

While ensuring that the colors of their creatures match those of their containers may not be every player’s idea of fun, it’s hard to deny that this Klawf and its Lure Ball make a stylish duo. For the gamers who’d rather spend their time reeling in some real-world catches, though, there’s always the option of buying a Pokemon-themed fishing lure.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Switch.
