Good things came in this small package!
I finally found this listing for a mirrorball motor. Not expecting much i ordered it in hopes that the thing would turn. It gives you a couple of options to hang the motor (via hook) or you can mount it. After putting in 3 AA batteries and mounting it onto my ceiling, i hung the 6 inch mirrorball from the chain and turned the motor on. I couldnt believe the thing worked.. thousands of lights streamed across the room dancing in different colors. I had my own Discoteque now...All in all i didn't want any pinpoint spotlights or just be limited to a small singular light. This option was affordable and solved the problem yet provided several colors in the form of tiny led's. I would recommend this mirrorball motor to anyone that owns a mirrorball. Decent value for limited use
Nice, affordable device for rotating mirrored "disco" balls. Can be operated with either the use of 3 AA batteries or if can be plugged into a wall outlet with the included adapter. Battery life is pretty limited as one might expect and the led lights dim and eventually completely turn off as battery charge is depleted. The speed of the rotation also slows dramatically over time with use of batteries. Works continuously well with the use of the wall plug. The supplied plug was pretty short and to get it to one of my outlets, I needed an extension cord. The unit ran great right out of the box but over time it has developed mechanical whine, if you will, that is continuous as long as it is rotating. I'm not sure about longevity for this one. Although I am generally happy with the functionality so far, the noise the motor has developed which seems to be getting gradually louder is a real concern. Also the device is super light weight and made of plastic. It seems to lack the integrity that I have seen in similar devices manufactured with a more appropriate metal. For the price I purchased this item for, I am satisfied. For heavy use I would not recommend unless you want to have to purchase replacements fairly often but for light use, I think it's a good value and am generally pleased with it.

A great disco ball lighting and spinning device for your money
Disco Ball lighting unit. The product seems to be well build and lights up the disco ball I have attached below it. It is a quiet moving device and does not go through batteries very quickly as I was afraid would be the case. Given the the price, I think it is a great deal.

Awesome for our disco ball!
Perfect for our 40th Wedding Anniversary! Colored LED lights worked well, but only hit top of disco ball. We also aimed a white spotlight at the disco ball from the side, which really bumped up the effect.
